Main body:

I didn’t think I was going to like this book, I always get skeptical when a book says it is a TikTok sensation. However I was not going to pass the Aldi middle isle and not pick up a £2.99 book. I actually picked up two of them, I think the middle isle is somehow magical because every time I get a book from there I always manage to read them instantly as I get them. So the review of the second book I got there will come out soon.

Moving onto the book we are reviewing. I can see why it was popular among the TikTok community, because it was what everyone dreamed college life was going to be. Beach parties till dawn, the perfect friendship group and to top it off the perfect love story. Well what should have been the perfect story between a girl who’s had her heart set on her brother’s best friend who liked her too. Unfortunately I was never team Chase as he wasn’t in the right space to be with Ari in turn breaking the girls heart.

In walks the absolute perfect book boyfriend ever. Our precious Noah, who sweeps our main girl Ari off her feet. I love the slow relationship that forms between the both of them, in a way that shows the realness of it. They take their time to get to know each other and this isn’t an overly spicy book so we get some really cute bits between the pair.

There were some bits that didn’t really bring a lot to the story and I was a bit bored of the back and forth but in a good way, I was rooting for them so badly that I was kind of like get to the point. Mason was also really annoying like sorry can you just leave your sister to live her life because realistically no brother is that protective. So if he was a bit more toned down it would make it a bit easier to understand. Plus he does kind of calm down in the book towards the end.

Overall, it was a lovely pallet cleanser because there wasn’t too much to infer and the author does kind of spell it out and my brain felt like it was a clear story to follow through.
